Presidential Qualifications
- The constitution sets basic qualifications for president.
- In article 2, Section 1 the Constitution defines the formal requirements for the office of president.
- The president must be: 1. A natural born citizen of the United States 2. At least 35 years old 3. A resident of the United States for at least 14 years before taking office
- These requirements are the same for the Vice President
